The premise of this movie is a bit quirky ~ a vampire hunters son falls in love with a vampire, and to avoid spoiling any of this eccentric romcom, thats all I will divulge. Vamps was such a touching movie in my opinion. I loved the aestethic and the blend of oldies and modern. It was thought provoking because we get to explore the rapid transition from slow quiet life of the 1800s to the fast paced ever evolving tech world of the 2000s. This movie really highlights that challenging gap in understanding between the "boomer" generation and gen-z and above. We just grew up in different times and evolved differently. If you are interested in non-traditional vampire lore then I recommend you check it out and make your own opinions about it!

The style of this movie blew me away. Its moody and chic - I couldnt take my eyes off the screen. A writer and her soon to be husband go to a burlesque show and the husband-to-be falls head over heals in love with the actresses beauty. The writer becomes distraught after having her lover stolen once again by her actress-friend and she lets go of herself and becomes bitter and resentful and seeks revenge. Years later - The actess is faced with a dilemma as she ages and her body is not what it once was. She seeks a surgeon to make her look young again and instead is given a card to a mysterious location to claim what she is after. She scoffs but after she finds her young lover with a younger hotter woman she runs away crying in the rain. She catches a glimpse of herself in the rearview mirror and screams at her own reflection and in her desperation she goes to the address on the card. There she is given the gift of youth but at a cost.
